Sunshine, You've Been On My Mind

Culture | Keyona Porshaa`

Aunty Tabitha Brown has been blessing us with her calming voice, warm messages, and vegan recipes one video at a time and now she has landed a major partnership with McCormick creating her very own Sunshine seasoning and we can’t stop smiling.

In 2017 after complications with her health and trying to figure out how to live her life sans migraine and headache pain, she went vegan. She recorded herself eating a vegan “TTLA” and the rest is history.

According to Veg News, her new formula of Sunshine seasoning is made up of some of our Aunty’s favorites: garlic powder, ginger, thyme, turmeric, allspice, and a dash of mango and pineapple powders for added sweetness. The collaboration was so successful the salt free seasoning sold out in 39 minutes. She tells Veg News, “Sunshine for me is about spreading positivity. I always say, ‘Have a good day and if you can’t, don’t you dare go messing up nobody else’s.’ This seasoning is about bringing that radiance and positive energy into your kitchen.”

ICYMI and have to wait for the restock like the rest of us, you can keep with the NC native on the next episode of The Chi, All Love on the Ellen Network, relax with her calming voice on the Calm app, mark your calendars for the release of her book Feeding the Soul (Because That’s My Business) coming this fall, or you can grab some Donna’s Recipe a formula specially made for natural hair.
