Shannon Sharpe, former co-host of syndicated daily sports show 'Undisputed,' leaves the West Coast produced show after seven years to join Stephen A. Smith in New York City on 'First Take,' Monday, September 4. During the hall of famer tight end's "first take," Sharpe miscalled Skip's name for his new co-host when attempting to begin a hot debate with Stephen A.

Smith reassured the Chicago, Illinois native in response with, "it's alright, it's alright," for the premiere segment.

Stephen A., a Winston-Salem State graduate would not be himself if he didn't embody the mistake and turn it up a notch, just one reason why we've grown to love the quick-witted sports journalist. Tuesday morning, he plastered a red, "hello, my name is," name tag to support his new sports debate sparring partner through the following take and avoid being called anything other than, Stephen A.
