Have you ever been over one of your girlfriend's houses and found a new product in her bathroom? The packaging is fresh and simple but catches your eye so you’re intrigued to open it and take a sniff. Whipped body butters that smell like heaven, body oils that have fragrances that last and keep you moisturized all day. The new discovery makes you ask, “Girl, where’d you find this?”

Kayla Bazemore, the owner of K’s Kandy lingerie, is devoted to researching and trying holistic products that are created by black-owned companies. We’ve talked about companies like HoneyPot (at one point in time, let’s chat about the new acquisition later) and Buttah Skin with pride because their products are dedicated for us, by us.

Vitamins by Black Girl Vitamins

Kayla: I noticed my energy was low and it was a common thing amongst me and a few of my friends. So, I started to do research for what could be the cause and discovered that vitamin D deficiency is a common thing in African American women.

I followed up by going to my primary care doctor and sure enough, my Vitamin D levels were below average. I continued my research and came across this wonderful black-owned brand called, “Black Girl Vitamins.” Their page had a ton of helpful information regarding common things in black women and the overall health benefits of each of their products. I started taking their Vitamin D pills and have been hooked ever since!

That journey inspired me to continue my research on other products that could be beneficial to my body. That led to brands such as Ancient Cosmetics, Ancient Healing Teas, Tierra Goes Green and so many more.
