Instead of using two loose braids or locs from the sides of your head or nape, because the size of your style is too large for tiny hair ties, Breromi has developed a unique magnetic hair clique for all hair types.

Creator Breanna Nicole is creating whimsical hair cliques with all hair types in mind. Loc girlies and loose naturalistas with voluminous curls, to the front.

The innovative designer who goes by Bre on Twitter (X, but we’ll stick to its government name) owns Breromi, an accessory brand that seamlessly blends futurism and functionality.

Breromi stands out as a brand by innovating dreamy, nostalgic pieces with technological exploration by developing unique 3D accessories. Watching her clasp together two halves of a pink star, her most recent eccentric hair clip design stopped me in my Twitter scrolling tracks. I was witnessing the Black Girl version of the butterfly clip for naturalistas. Bre has affectionately named the clips, "hair cliques," because of their magnetic stabilizing ability.

“I knew I wanted it to be a shape pattern…when I was designing it, I was like how will they connect?” posed Bre in one of her YouTube videos when referring to what she asked herself during her design process.

“I was thinking about Legos. You know how you have Lego inserts, you just insert them in? I was thinking about designing it like that, but then I was like nah, let me do magnets.”

She shared how the ingenuity of the design would solve three main issues.

For starters, she created hair cliques to provide reliability and durability. Due to the volume of natural hair and locs, standard-sized hair ties snap when trying to achieve simple ponytail styles.

The hair cliques also provide the option for low-tension styles when the hair is pulled back into ponytails. Low-tension styles minimize stress on the hair follicles, which helps to prevent breakage and promote hair growth.

And lastly, inspired by the scrunchie shape trend, she wanted to create a hair accessory that is easy to put on but also cute and whimsical, which is true to the brand.

“I wanted to innovate the idea of shape around hairstyle and incorporate it into my 3D printing,” Bre told Gurl World.

Developed to work with all types of hair, each clique comes with optional hair combs and teeth inserts for usage for different types of hair. They also come in two different sizes. Medium and small for use on various types of volumes and textures.

Hair clique designs include a flower, a heart, and a star. Breromi’s inspiration for their magnetic star clique was inspired by Twitter user, @clarkiekun AKA Gotdahookup. So for anyone who doesn’t believe in the power of Black Twitter, refer to this article.
